Model Building

Peter Laponder, one of Balthi du Plessis' associates has over 30 years experience in the building of models, ranging from dioramas, interactive electronic models and maps (which include historical models, topographical as well as architectural models).

Peter forte is historical architectural models and as most of these buildings or structures lacked construction information, he did groundbreaking research as well as producing in-depth reports.

His work is highly acclaimed; for instance the BBCTV consulted him regarding research he has done for an model of a historical site.

He also has a wide range of experience with the making of casting, sculpting and moulding of various subjects and replicas.

His work appears in several museums and information centres, both locally and international.
